On Saturday, enjoy the lively music of Ed Russell & Ballyhaunis performing traditional Irish folk music bringing the green isle to Laurita. The fun doesn’t stop here! What’s St. Patrick’s Day without Irish Step Dancing? Enjoy the beauty and energy of Irish step dancing champions Julia Russell, Mary Kate Kane, and a supporting cast of talented young dancers.
Visit us on Sunday and enjoy the unique sound and style of Green Underground entertaining our guests with folk, rock, country and blues. Green Underground plays music on their own terms – blurring the lines of what is thought to be traditional and making it their own. The Skyelanders, Jimmy Doyle and Scotty Butts, will be playing standard Irish tunes throughout the day. Sunday Brunch will not be served on March 18th, but the Marketplace will be open and serving up delicious Irish fare such as corned beef & cabbage and traditional Irish lamb stew. On Saturday, Ed Russell & Ballyhaunis will perform traditional Irish folk music with Ed Russell on guitar and lead vocals; Mike McKee on Irish fiddle; and Tom McKee on tin whistle, Bodhran, and lead guitar. Enjoy the beauty and energy of Irish Step Dancing performed by champions Julia Russell, Mary Kate Kane, and a supporting cast of young dancers.

Green Underground is influenced heavily by Neil Young, Allman Brothers, Hot Tuna, Rolling Stones, The Who, CSNY and Fleetwood Mac. GROW YOUR OWN GRAPES TO MAKE YOUR OWN WINE? Saturday, March 17, 1:00-4:00pm Grape Pruning Demonstration Free Admission! Got a few vines in the backyard used for making homemade wine? Then you probably know that pruning grapes is an important and essential part of growing the plant and for making wine. Join us for a FREE 30 minute demo class with Laurita’s “Master Winemaker” Nicolaas Opdam. During this demonstration, Nick will cover various pruning techniques used on most common grape varieties; how to select which canes/buds to prune; how to ensure survival of your plant for future growth; as well as discussions on weed control, and nutrition. Participants will enjoy a seat by the fire pit and a cup of homemade soup following the demonstration. Nick will also be available to answer any questions you may have.
