The band Saska is a progressive/indie/blues band that hails from Toms River, New Jersey. Noted as an up-and-coming band on the scene, Brandon Hans of the acclaimed Original Music Showcase has described their sound as having a definitive style with great potential in the music industry.
Fresh from a studio run, Saska is preparing to release their first full-length album later this spring. The collection is their first professional attempt to capture the synergy and soundscapes that are the hallmark of their live performances. Saska is a collection of talented artists coming together to make a whole greater than each individual musician. Singer/songwriter Melissa Murray fronts the band with a voice crafted from years of training and study with the likes of the well-known Judy Hages. Keyboardist/songwriter Jake Hughes has been nominated a number of times by the Asbury Music Awards and has played with such noteworthy individuals as Nick Clemons, son of Clarence “The Big Man” Clemons . These two are joined by blues picker Doug Hunter, formerly of the progressive rock outfit Entelechy, bassist Jake Whitaker (currently studying under Anthony Wellington) and original drummer Chris Quinn.

The Thomas Wesley Stern Band
The genre of music they play is folk-traditional. A quartet of self-taught by-the-ear musicians, subconsciously breeding traditional folkways with contemporary frame of mind and life, the four trade instruments, sing together in harmony and unison, and bid any onlookers to join right in.
