Jersey native “Jumpin’ Jack Strobel” is a piano man, singer and songwriter covering new, used and original songs reminiscent of artists like Ray Charles, Charles Brown and Dr. John. Steeped in the blues, Jack and his unique quartet perform an eclectic and sophisticated blend of American roots music – it’s jazz & swing mixed with the rocking styles of New Orleans!

The “Swamp Boogie Quartet” features Jumpin’ Jack (piano, lead vocals), Andy Riedel (guitars, vocals), Mike Lampe (upright bass, vocals) and Steve Brown (drums, Cajon, percussion, vocals).
These unique and talented artists meld together their individual styles for the listening pleasure of our guests at Laurita Winery.

Grape Pruning Demonstration

PRUNING CLASS IS POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER.  Rescheduled to March 2nd 

Got a few vines in the backyard used for making homemade wine? Then you probably know that pruning grapes is an important and essential part of growing the plant and for making wine. Join us for a FREE 30 minute demo class with Laurita’s “Master Winemaker” Nicolaas Opdam. During this demonstration, Nick will cover various pruning techniques used on most common grape varieties; how to select which canes/buds to prune; how to ensure survival of your plant for future growth; as well as discussions on weed control, and nutrition. Participants will enjoy a seat by the fire pit and a cup of homemade soup following the demonstration. Nick will also be available to answer any questions you may have.
