Entertainment Free Admission Ed Russell & Ballyhaunis (plus, Step Dancers) Saturday, August 25 (1:00-5:00pm)
Ballyhaunis provides an excellent mixture of traditional and contemporary Irish and American music featuring. The band consists of Ed Russell on guitar and lead vocals, Mike McKee on Irish fiddle and vocals, Harold Frazee on keyboard and vocals, Steven Frazee on drums and Bodhrán. Along with great Irish music, enjoy the beauty and energy of Irish Step Dancing performed by champions Julia Russell, Mary Kate Kane, and a supporting cast of young dancers. Round The House Band Saturday, August 25 (5:00-8:00pm)
Round The House Band was formed in 1990, performing a mix of Irish and American Music. The band consists of Kevin Guerin, Bandleader, Singer, Guitarist and Tin Whistle Player, Jim Calvert, Singer and Guitarist, and Luke O’Malley, Accordionist. The band plays at local establishments, some of which include Celtic Cottage, Long Branch, NJ, Gaiter, Sea Bright, NJ, Seven Days Bar, Union Beach, NJ, Off The Hook, Highlands, NJ, Cryans Beef and Ale, S. Orange, NJ, The Blackthorn Pub and Restaurant, Kenilworth, NJ, and many more. The bands love of Irish Music is felt by all, and is uniquely expressed in their spirited and entertaining performances. The Bantry Boys Sunday, August 26 (12:30-3:30pm)
The Bantry Boys, a local Irish-American band, who have been playing together since 1981. Three of the current memebers, Jimmy Dwyer, Bill Dwyer and Mike Brady are original members. The fourth member, Eric Pedrotty, joined the band four years ago. They have played primarily in the New Jersey and New York area, but have also performed in Ireland and in other European countries on occasion. Their use of harmonies and Eric's tin whistle set them apart. From toe-tapping sing-alongs to doleful ballads, the Bantry Boys will make you think you're on the Emerald Isle itself. The Thomas Wesley Stern Band Sunday, August 26 (3:45-7:00pm)
The genre of music they play is folk-traditional. A quartet of self-taught by-the-ear musicians, subconsciously breeding traditional folkways with contemporary frame of mind and life, the four trade instruments, sing together in harmony and unison, and bid any onlookers to join right in. The Skyelanders Saturday & Sunday, August 25 & 26 (1:00-7:00pm)
The Skyelanders (Jimmy Doyle and Scotty Butts), will be playing standard Irish tunes throughout the day. Jimmy and Scotty have been playing together for 20 years and offer a unique collection of tunes. The Skyelanders play everything from Scottish and Irish tunes to Sinatra, Dean Martin and the Beatles. Keep a watch out for them as they will be mingling around the winery providing their distinctive entertainment.
